Traditional Irish Pub
West Wicklow House dates back to the 1800’s, originally built as an Inn for stage coaches – a resting point for horses and weary travellers and later when the tram travelled through Blessington.
With its long bar, generous intimate corners and spacious eating areas, West Wicklow House boast fair prices in drinks and food, with a warm welcome for everyone.
Outside is a sheltered beer garden with solid Swedish fallen oak tables and benches constantly used Winter and Summer, flanked with rows of bamboo and baskets bursting with colourful flowers. Facing the square is another outdoor seating area – a great place to relax and watch the comings and goings of Blessington village while tucking into the chef’s freshly prepared Fillet of Salmon with Thai Lemongrass served with Scallops and King prawns.
Located on the doorstep of Wicklow National Park and Blessington Lakes, the West Wicklow House is a popular destination for coach tours. Tour operators are welcome to contact us for booking arrangements.
